Empowering youth through cycling starts here
We believe the bicycle is the perfect vehicle for personal and collective growth and development.

The power of age-based youth programming
This means our youth programs are organized primarily by age, not by ability level. This distinction is a key component of our proven success in developing lifelong cyclists.
We believe mountain biking skills and fitness will come naturally as a result of being part of an inclusive community of peers who are excited about riding bikes. As such, our programs give youth a space in which they can forge key friendships—and find true success.
Although our Devo Team is currently the only program that includes femme-only options, we promote and celebrate femme participation throughout our organization.
NCYD Femme Definition: This term is used to identify an inclusive, female-centered space that aligns with our core value of community. Our femme-only programs and events are open to individuals who identify as female (regardless of sex assigned at birth), non-binary folks, allies, and anyone who wants to participate in a female-focused environment.
What We Offer
Devo Membership
Our Devo Team is for youth ages 12 – 18 that are intermediate-to-advanced riders who are looking for an equity-focused, fun-loving community, and maybe a little competition. This annual membership includes a range of on- and off-bike programming, including femme-only options. New for 2026 is an application based Devo Race program.
ParkYDs
ParkYDs is a community-based summer biking program designed for kids ages 5–11 that provides safe, inclusive, and educational experiences through biking on the trails and paths in the Seward/Longfellow neighborhood
Homeschool Homies
Get outside, learn, and ride! Homeschool Homies offers a safe, fun, and enriching biking experience for homeschooled children ages 5–11.
COMMUNITY
Our community is our youth, the parents and volunteers who support us, and the partners who enable us to live out our mission, vision, and values.
IDENTITY
We provide a safe space in which our youth can grow through cycling.
PURPOSE
It’s about more than riding bikes. It’s about helping our youth build a community for life.
